Otter Creek
Hannah E. Wilkinson, 68, of Otter Creek, passed away four months after being diagnosed with cancer. She was home, surrounded by family and close friends, who were united in saying good-bye with open hearts.
Hannah graduated from MDI High School in 1971. She worked for over 37 years at the First National Bank in Bar Harbor. Following retirement, she spent her time walking and biking on the carriage trails she loved, gardening, and knitting. She also had a special fondness for hummingbirds, and particularly enjoyed celebrating May Day. Her greatest love, though, was her family.
She leaves behind a son, Paul Hinckley; a daughter, Melissa Kull; and two grandsons, Kanah and William Kull; former husband John Hinckley; brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Susan McKay; sister, Marilyn Dixon; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Mildred (Ma) and Homer Wilkinson, and by her brother, Bill McKay.
At her request, there will be no service. Donations in Hannah’s memory may be made to Sarah’s House, 346 Main Road, Holden, ME 04429.
Arrangements by Acadia Burial & Cremation Direct, 248 State St. Ellsworth
