Surry
Sherri Marie Hill moved to her Home in Heaven on March 13, 2020. She began her sojourn here on earth on May 14, 2000. In 2006, she began the battle for her life against a formidable opponent: brain cancer. With friends, family, and a medical team that became like family, she battled long and hard for 14 years when the Lord finally called her Home. She had a spirit that made all of us want to fight for her. She made friends everywhere she went. And she was a tower of strength through it all. She will always be remembered for her humor, quick wit, and caring heart.
Her older brother Sammy, maternal grandmother Beverly, and several other relatives were there to greet her on her arrival Home. She left behind her parents Casey and Amanda Hill along with siblings Daniel, Alexa, Sydney, and Talitha, who will remember her until they each are called Home as well. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins are also left behind to remember and share her legacy.
There will be a service at Calvary Chapel Downeast, Friday, May 14 at 4pm followed by a fellowship dinner and party to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations of toys for other patients at Maine Children’s Cancer Program, 100 Campus Dr. #107, Scarborough, ME 04074

Casey, Amanda and family….I am so sorry about losing Sherri. She certainly fought a tough battle right up to the end. She probably met Sammi and said “Hey, hope you don’t mind sharing the date, big brother!! “ I hope it brings you some comfort to know they are together. See you soon, Renae
Amanda and Casey and each sibling, I have been so encouraged each day as I see your faithfulness and courage as you have fought this incredible battle with Sherri. I have been privileged to pray for her and for each of you to find the peace that only God is able to provide. Blessings for each of you as you grieve but not without hope that you will meet Sherri again soon.

Dear Hill Family, I have been following your story of faith and courage for many years. It is wonderful to witness Christ in you, our hope of glory, over the years. Sherie will be missed for sure and my prayers will continue for the next journey of grief. We can only imagine how free Sherie is in the presence of her Savior and loved gone before her. Love and prayers, Jerral
We mourn for you, Amanda, Casey, Daniel, Alexa, Sydney, and Talitha, but we celebrate Sherri ‘s present circumstance—with her Savior in Heaven. Love you all. You’ve demonstrated for years what it is to put faith and love above everything.
Today would have been your 20th birthday, Sherri. Know how much your team at Maine Children’s adored you and thank you for putting up with us as long as you did. I miss your sweet smile, your smirk, your grace, your kindness and our shared love for animals. I feel so fortunate to have known you these past twelve years although I wish you never had to meet any of us. Know that you will never be forgotten. Much love to Amanda, Casey, Daniel, Alexa, Sydney, Talitha and all the furries at home.
