Hancock — Robert E. Pinkham, Sr, 72, passed away after a brief illness on August 28, 2018, at an Ellsworth Hospital. He was born on December 2, 1945 in Ellsworth Maine, the son of Ethel (Pinkham) Poors, and Step-father Alton Poors.
Robert was, for many years, a Certified Welder before becoming self-employed as a Painter for the last 25 years. His life revolved around his family and he spent every spare minute with them. His hobby was his work. He loved to paint, and those that benefited from knowing him and utilizing his talents, were always greatly rewarded.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Vadeen (Chick) Pinkham of Hancock. Daughter Laura (Pinkham) Colby and husband Jon of Franklin. Son Robert Pinkham Jr of Hancock. Son Bobby Corey and wife Patti of Terrell, Texas. Daughter Robin (Corey) Huneycutt and husband Mark of Burleson, Texas. Brother Kenneth Poors and wife Chris of Ellsworth. Brother Peter Poors and wife Sharon of Ellsworth. Sister-in-law Lillie Poors of Ellsworth and brother Lewis Mitchell and wife Clara of Ellsworth. Sister-in-law Celeste Cram. Brother-in-law James Chick and wife Hazel. Brother-in-law Frank Chick and wife Canadace, and sister-in-law Janis Garland. 10 grandchildren; Christian, Marissa, Ella, Stephanie, Keenan, Kolby, Kristie, Kassie, Brandy and Christina. 6 great grandchildren and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Robert was predeceased and will be met by his mother Ethel and step father Alton Poors, from Ellsworth. His precious granddaughter Morgan Colby of Franklin. Brother Rusty Poors of Ellsworth, and brother-in -aw Ashel Cram.
A graveside service will be held on September 14, 2018 at 1:00pm, at Woodbine Cemetery in Ellsworth. A gathering immediately afterwards to celebrate and remember Robert’s life, will be held at their home in Hancock Maine.
