Patricia L. Pinkham

Bar Harbor

My baby sister, my best friend, my shadow Patti Pinkham died of natural causes at home on October 12, 2022. Patti was born July 19, 1962, on her father’s birthday in Hartford, Ct to Rosanna “Peggy” Harriman and Robert C. Pinkham Jr.

Patti always joked about how she walked in the front door of the high school and out the back. That was her first and last day. She went on to be a CNA at Courtland Rehab and Sonogee Estates. She retired from Sonogee early due to health conditions. If you ask her coworkers, she was either the jokester of the bunch or up for a good joke wherever she was. At home we never knew what our Christmas or birthday gift might be, but we were up for the challenge.

Patti is survived by her best friend, her sister Roberta “Bobbie” Mendoza of Bar Harbor; her brother, Roy Spear of Margate, Fl.; her nieces, Winter Colby and her partner Aaron Hilton of Bar Harbor; and Winter’s son Seamus Colby; Amanda Mendoza and her partner Mike Jones of Portland; Casey Alley and her partner Noah Mohr of Trenton; and Casey’s sons Dillion and Logan; Amber Spear of Derry, New Hampshire; Aunt Ruth and Uncle Richard Butters of Otis; many cousins she didn’t see often, but always thought about. Patti had a special friend Terry Mansur of Bar Harbor who for the last two years caught up on Dark Shadows which she hated as a child; and another very special friend Wayne Dyer who always joked with Patti that he was going to make her his 3rd ex-wife; She will be missed by all her friends and neighbors at Malvern-Belmont where she called home. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Joe Spear and Eddie Pinkham; grandparents, Florence and Nelson Beliveau.

Patti will be cremated and buried at the family plot in Steuben at a date and time to be announced. Many thanks to Jordan Fernald Funeral Home for taking care of both Patti and I at this difficult time. Thank you to Dr. Tanya Hanke, MDI Hospital and Community Health Center for all the care you gave my sister over the years. Donations in Patti’s name can be made to the SPCA of Hancock County, 141 Bar Harbor Rd., Trenton, 04605.
