Blue Hill — Jessica A. Grindle, 37, died unexpectedly in July, 2018 in Blue Hill. She was born in Blue Hill October 10, 1980, the daughter of Perry “Bill” W. and Sharon A. Grindle.
Jessica attended school in Blue Hill and graduated from George Stevens Academy class of 1998. She had an amazing adventurous spirit. Jessica had a love for family and traditions. She loved helping people especially those down and out and would help anyone. She took in strays both four legged and two legged. She had three dogs that she adored Precious, Harley, but her real fur baby was Camo, a Great Dane that loved her as much as she loved him. Jessica leaves behind two beautiful boys that gave her joy in this life. She will be forever watching over them. Jessica has a first cousin, Alicia Pearson whom was more like a close sister that will raise her boys. She played softball in high school as a pitcher for both school and summer leagues. Jessica enjoyed cooking and every Christmas made fudge for the entire family. Jessica had an infinite number of friends and community members that loved her. She had an infectious smile that could light up a room. She also had a tenacious ability to survive and a fearless instinct to take risks. She loved the Blue Hill Fair, Toddy pond, and traveling. Jessica was taken too soon from her family and friends and will forever be remembered in our hearts.
She is survived by her parents; sons, Cody A. Sweet (age 10) and River D. Pearson-Grindle age 3; grandparents, Clyde and Gloria Astbury, Lynn Carter, and Vivian Grindle; aunts and uncles, Marie Pearson, Donna and John DeLeo, Violet and John Hughes, Dewey and Dana Curtis, Mark and Julia Grindle; and many very close cousins. A few special remembrances, daughter, Baby Girl Jasmine Louzenia; great- grandmother Nellie Cook; Uncle Barry Grindle, Uncle Daniel Astbury, and Cousin Rob Grindle.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00-4:00, Sunday November 25, 2018 at the Blue Hill Consolidated School Cafeteria, 60 High Street, Blue Hill Everyone is welcome.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Jessica’s memory to The Next Step Domestic Violence Project, P O Box 1466, Ellsworth 04605
