Robert LeForest Gray, 77, died peacefully at home on August 6, 2020 surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was born in Blue Hill on January 25, 1943, the son of LeForest H. Gray and Lila M. Gray.
Bob enjoyed farming; he worked endless hours on his tractor cutting wood, haying, rotary mowing and tending blueberry grounds. His greatest joy was his family, the unconditional love he had for them was immeasurable.
Bob proudly served his country in the US Army from 1962 to 1965.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Paula; son, Steve and partner Christine; daughter, Nancy and husband Rob; son, Paul and wife Missy; 8 grandchildren, Justin, Jenna, Tim, Joshua, Jessica, Damon, Jordan, and Paige; 4 great-grandchildren, Maddox, Aubriana, Jocelyn and Gracelynn; sisters, Evelyn and Betty; brother, Steve as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cherished friends. He was predeceased in death by his parents, brother Alfred and sister Harriet.
Per Bob’s request, family and friends are invited to attend a graveside prayer at Mt. Rest Cemetery in Brooksville on August 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Immediately following there will be a gathering at Bob and Paula’s home, 6 Sis Porter Road. Sedgwick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Northern Light Home Care and Hospice, 441 Main Street, Ellsworth, Maine 04605.

My first boss as a 12 year old raking blueberries for this guy. We became great friends and always spoke every time we met even years later. I will certainly miss him! RIP Bob
