Fletcher’s Landing
On a cloudy day in August, Courtney Jane Jolin closed her eyes for the last time and went to heaven to be with her family who were waiting for her but left her family behind with a void in their heart.
As a child she was the sparkle that could light up any room, Courtney was the young girl that could make everyone laugh, she made the sunshine on the cloudiest day.
No mother and father should have to write these words and I will never get over losing my daughter to addiction. Craig and I tried to help her many times and Courtney wanted to get better but she could not undo the damage that was done.
She left behind the most important person in her life, her 13-year-old son Cole Michael Stilwell who is lucky to have his dad Chris, and Natalie to help him through these hard times.
Courtney Jane loved her family and friends, and you all know who you are. If we left anyone out, please know the list was too long to mention but if you loved her she loved you also.
She will be sadly missed many especially her father Jay, her mother Lisa and partner Craig, her sister Erika and husband Tyler and children Marquis, Ella, and Ava. Her grandmother Rose Taylor, her uncles Stuart, Gary and wife Kelly, Larry and wife Vicky, Darren and wife Camille, her special friend “Pard” who was there, and never gave up on her. He was her best friend. Courtney Jane was predeceased by her loving Bampie Stuart Taylor Sr., her uncle Scott, aunt Bonnie, brother Coty, and cousin Lindsey.
A grave side service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers please do something for someone who is in need.

Dear Cole, Lisa & Craig, Jay, Erika, and the entire Taylor family, My sincere condolences for this unbearable loss. Lisa, you have been my best friend since 3rd grade. We have been through everything together and my heart is shattered for you, and also for sweet Cole. Courtney loved him dearly and I know just how much he loved her. She is with her loved ones and is at peace. She wants you all to try to have some peace knowing she is not suffering anymore, and knowing that someday you will all be together again.
Oh Lisa and all of the family, I am so very sorry for your loss, This is heartbreaking. Please know you have the love and prayers of many life long friends.
My dear Lisa, Craig, and especially Cole, I know how much she loved you. I know her struggle with addiction overtook her more than any of us can understand. I know how hard she tried to get better, only to be dragged back in. I saw her sparkle when she was with Cole, I saw her love exuding from her for Cole, and I saw how much she loved you Lisa (even if at times she couldn’t show it), she was grateful for you taking on her treasure and loving him as you do. My prayers are for you during this difficult time. She is at peace now and her struggle is over. Let the love she felt for you shine in your hearts and let go of any of the sad memories that happened, as in the end, God is all forgiving, she is at peace, and you are loved here on earth and in heaven above. Cole and Lisa. I am just so sorry that Courtney passed. I so wanted her to beat this hideous disease. Cole, I still have your picture on my fridge bud. I think of you often.
