Lynn E. (Lenny) Carter, 60, died at his home on October 31, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born November 30, 1960, in Norwich, CT son of Milton and Mary (Griffin) Carter, Sr.
Lynn is best known for his endless volunteering at the Community Closet in
Ellsworth, the Phillip Carter Reading Foundation with their many events, and helping town people do many chores and yard work.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Carter; life partner of 27 years, Gail Bubel; son, Joshua Carter of Ellsworth; brothers, Danny, Malcolm and Milton, Jr.; sisters, Ila, Cindy, Kandy and Molly Bee; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Robert Quinn.
The family is planning a spring gathering and will be announced at a later time.
